Founded in 1966, Evertz is headquartered in Burlington, Canada, and is a globally-recognized, reputable and dynamic television, satellite, cable and IPTV broadcast equipment designer and manufacturer. After 40 years of dedication to providing cutting-edge products and responding to customer needs and market trends, Evertz continues its HDTV dominance in the broadcast domain and expansion into other market segments. On November 1, 2005, Evertz announced that it entered the router and master control broadcast market segment through the acquisition of Quartz® Electronics Ltd., a privately held company, headquartered in Reading, U.K., with over 450 master control channels installed worldwide.

Established in 1990, Quartz has also developed a successful portfolio of high quality routing products which includes a wide variety of sizes, signal formats and transmission standards. The flagship Xenon mid-size line is the first to use optional plug-in Signal Processing Technology modules that add powerful sophisticated features within the frame, saving space and cost on discrete products. Quartz products are trusted by and integrated into many of the world's major broadcasters.

Evertz has further expanded the breadth of its high performance systems for the broadcast market and has increased its worldwide HDTV presence with this acquisition.
