The 7780MUX8x1-ASI is compact affordable DVB and ATSC remultiplexer. As more broadcasters are moving to digital, there is a need to remultiplex pre-encoded material in the compressed domain to create multiplex channels ready to go to a QAM, 8VSB or COFDM modulator. The 7780MUX8x1-ASI offers 8 ASI inputs and 1 ASI output.
The 7780MUX8x1-ASI offers on board stream processing such as PID remapping, program add and drop, externally generated program guide insertion. The 7780MUX8x1-ASI offers basic input monitoring to ensure the incoming signal is properly MPEG-2 framed.
The user can pick and choose from the incoming programs which will be used on the output. The 7780MUX8x1-ASI fits in the 7700 chassis and occupies 3 slots. Five independent 7780MUX8x1-ASI can be fitted in a single 3RU Chassis.
The 7780MUX8x1-ASI is controlled through the VistaLINK® PRO via SNMP commands.
