VistaLINK® is

Evertz own VistaLINK® PRO application software unites Evertz 7700 Series Fiber, Conversion, NCP, VIP™, MVP®, 500 Series DA and AVM product lines as well as selected third party equipment through a customized, detailed, java-based monitoring and configuration tool that is ready-to-use for signal monitoring and "real-time" equipment configuration. VistaLINK® provides a complete, uncomplicated and cost-effective network monitoring & configuration solution. Real-time, reliable configuration and control is possible through SNMP implementation, utilizing simple protocol commands that travel over your secure network. VistaLINK® PRO
Configuration Management • VistaLINK® PRO Configuration Tool (VLPRO-C) is provided free allowing users unlimited configuration capabilities. Individual, multi-card parameter and global operator friendly configuration changes, dynamic or off-line with access control. VLPRO-C Configuration Tool is also included as part of the complete VistaLINK® PRO and VistaLINK® PRO PLUS packages.
Configuration reliability, or ensuring that the parameter change(s) have taken place is enhanced with the further use of an SNMP "GET" on the changed parameter(s).
Alarm-Event Notification Client • Expand the VistaLINK® PRO configuration tool by adding centralized alarm management. Define and set critical alarms, alarm severities and filters. Built-in external alarm notification tools include audible alerts, "smart" email notification and/or contact closure triggers.
Monitoring Client • Allows users to set-up a "quick-view" grid display with configurable parameters, based on previously configured hardware and services. This grid view's rows, columns, shading and text are user configurable and can be designed to resemble an exisiting monitoring wall. Fault alerts are reported on the grid view through flashing colors or backgrounds and allow the operator to quickly select the faulty service and provide links to alarm databases or to product configuration screens.

With audio, video and data signal monitoring, through discrete modules or multi-display virtual walls, in place and network monitoring through VistaLINK®, the ability to configure and stream the signal from a remote location to a central monitoring facility or to enabled web clients over IP further enhances signal confidence monitoring.
VistaLINK® PRO PLUS
Building on the standard VistaLINK® PRO configuration and monitoring clients, add user-configurable pictorial representations of your broadcast facility – local and remote. Start with global perspectives and drill down to specific rack and frame layouts or consolidate important status information and direct configuration control on a single display. Import facility block diagrams or generate an off-line simulation using virtual equipment and graphics from the VistaLINK® media library. Link multiple views for the most effective facility or application representation. Integrate your VistaLINK® PRO PLUS graphic screens with a VIP™ or MVP® and get the best of both on-screen signal display and network monitoring and configuration.

Video, audio and data signal monitoring is further enhanced in VistaLINK® through the ability to view thumbnail images from supporting modules. Thumbnails can be viewed in separate windows or embedded into custom user designed Graphics client UI screens.
Third-Party Monitoring & Interfacing • For 3rd party SNMP-enabled or legacy equipment monitoring and configuration, Evertz VistaLINK® solution may be extended to unify all your system monitoring needs in one package.
Monitor Everything, View by Exception • Through built in "signal sniffer" modules and with VistaLINK® monitoring all signals 24/7 and sending fault notifications while displaying only these signals as they occur further increases performance and cost efficiency.
Monitor Web Clients • Unlock the capability of a remote system or facility health monitoring solution through VistaLINK® PRO + WEB clients. Go beyond a firewall and monitor your facility conveniently through a browser, while receiving email and pager fault notifications as they occur.
Scheduling & Auto Response • Automate facility monitoring & configuration operations or limit false alarming by scheduling changes based on times/dates or events. Program hardware/router changes to be triggered by incoming alarms or exceeded parameter thresholds. Combine routines and Boolean logic to create complex automated logic response systems. Routines can be created within the program wizard or via external scripting mechanisms.
Router Control • Evertz and 3rd party router control provides full X-Y style panels or custom user-created virtual panels to handle even the most specific router control needs.
Network Control Panels
The 1RU 9000NCP and 2RU 9000NCP2 VistaLINK® Network Control Panels are low-powered, rack mounted control panel interfaces to VistaLINK® enabled modules, allowing for real-time selection and configuration control of enabled parameters through SNMP!
The NCP units can be used to control a subset of an enabled module's full parameter set – usually the "proc amp" and operational parameters such as video & audio level adjustments and gain control. An updated list of NCP-controlled modules / parameters can be found here. NCP units connect to the network via Ethernet and can further be customized with user-specific labels and preset quick access configuration buttons.

Integration Convenience Via Interoperability
Similar to a number of other equipment interoperability efforts underway, Evertz has initiated a partnership effort with third-party SNMP Network Control System developers to proactively develop SNMP communication interfaces, offering end-users, with existing SNMP Network Managers and Control Systems, a proven solution for interfacing to Evertz equipment. Evertz's VistaLINK® Partnership Program is not only intended to establish end-user confidence with SNMP applications, but also reduces development time and expenses surrounding potentially extensive implementation issues or the need for yet another SNMP Manager.
